My wedding ring.
Hands down, no other material possession is as valuable to me as that simple ring of gold.
While writing this I was listening to " Now Is the Start" from "Now Is the Start - Single" by "A Fine Frenzy"

I was feeling a little under the weather a few days ago, so I decided to put off the daily question until I felt better.
Well, that “few days” turned out to be over a week so I have several questions to answer.
Looks like it’s time for another lightning round.
Here we go:
My house is a home because ______.
Evelyn is there. A tent could be my home as long as she was there.
Who was the last person to tell you they loved you?
Evelyn
What is your favorite piece of art you own?
I don’t own a lot of art. There is one oil painting of mine that I’m pretty proud of but I would have to say that currently this guy is my favorite. I picked him up at a souvenir shop in San Antonio.
The most expensive bill I paid last month was ________.
The mortgage
What’s the last thing you apologized for?
Oh, there are so many things. I can’t remember which one was last.
My favorite color is ______.
Cobalt blue
On a scale of 1-10 how is your health?
Even with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, glaucoma, and being overweight, I would still see myself around 8. Denial? Maybe, but you got to give me points for optimism.
If you could do today over, would you change anything?
I would be a lottery winner and on vacation.
Name a person you wish you didn’t have to deal with today.
The patron who will wait for the closing announcement before attempting to check out their 100 items on a blocked account. I hate you.
What is the largest TV screen in your house?
42”
What time did you go to bed last night?
10:45pm. If only that was what time I went to sleep, things would be so much brighter today.
What did you buy today?
So far nothing, it’s still morning. I’ll probably buy a salad on the way into work.
While writing this I was listening to " Cozza Frenzy" from "Cozza Frenzy" by "Bassnectar"
Hands down, sitting at the Garden Of The Gods overlook with Evelyn.
This was taken back in October but you get the picture. (No pun intended)
It’s probably one of the most relaxing places I have ever been.
I go there frequently to relax and think. Then, I usually head down the hill and drive through the park.
Windows down and classical music playing softly on the radio.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
While writing this I was listening to " the Horse & the Sistine Chapel" from "Burning Building Fall 2010 Sampler for Amazon" by "Daniel G. Harmann & the Trouble Starts"
I really don’t wear accessories.
At work I wear slacks, a button-down shirt and a name tag.
On my day off, it’s jeans and a t-shirt or sweats and a t-shirt if ‘m at home.
I don’t wear a watch or any jewelry except for my wedding ring so I guess my wedding ring would be my favorite accessory.
While writing this I was listening to " Pirouette" from "No Sanctuary" by "A Loss for Words"
We both sat there in denial
I was miles away
You dusted off your old flats
And you practiced your plies
Blank stares across an empty vacuum
Of stubbornness and vanity
Instead of saying what you really mean
You just dance away from me
I know your shadows
I'm engrossed in silhouette
You know just how that dance goes,
My Queen of Pirouette
Cold breezes and colder shoulders
To make this night complete
Do I dare drag my feet
Dare to sleep alone?
Will you keep dancing to the beat?
I know your shadows
I'm engrossed in silhouette
You know just how that dance goes,
My Queen of Pirouette
I will scream it from the rooftop
Get this out of me
And bellow out of key
I'm too tired
And now I just wanna fall asleep
But you just dance away from me
I know your shadows
I'm engrossed in silhouette
You know just how that dance goes,
My Queen of Pirouette

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m flying by the seat of my pants here.
I have a full year’s worth of these questions saved on my laptop but I’m not looking ahead. These answers aren’t being written in advance, they’re being written about 30 seconds after I read the question.
Sort of a lightning round style.
This keeps me from writing, analyzing the post, then rewriting. Because I can do that all day long and never get anywhere.
I’m also writing these post in the evening usually right before bedtime. This forces me to stick to a deadline. Right now I have about an hour and a half to finish this before it’s midnight.
If I go past midnight then it’s not the “Question of the Day” it’s the “Question of the Day I Should Have Answered Yesterday But Didn’t So Now I have Two Questions To Answer Today”.
So what possession could I not live without?
I’m sure this is referring to something of sentimental value such as my Dad’s guitar or my Mom’s Miracle Ware roaster.
Or it could be referring to something a little more philosophical such as freedom.
All good answers but I’m going with a material possession.
I thought about my car because without a car then I wouldn’t be able to work but there are millions of people without cars and they commute back and forth to work just fine.
My house? Not really because I could always rent.
A Phone? Maybe but I really don’t talk on the phone that much. I’m a 3 minutes max type of person. (Hello. How are you doing? Great. I’m doing good. Want to go to the game on Saturday? Sure. Ok, see you then. Bye.) Quick, get straight to the point and hang up.
So I guess if I had to pick one item, I would have to say it would be my laptop.
My laptop allows me to communicate with family and friends, keep up with current events, express myself, stay organized, read, and listen to music.
Lame answer?
Maybe but during the lightning round you don’t always get the number one answer on the board.
While writing this I was listening to " Far" from "NoiseTrade – 2012 Holiday Road Trip Mixtape" by "Canopy Climbers"
I never thought that I'd leave you waiting
For me to figure this out on my own
There are days that I wake up wondering
If I would be better off on my own
When I'm fast asleep I run away
Please take me far from this place
If home is where my heart will stay
Why do you lead me away?
I never thought that I'd have the weight of
All of the world in my hands
(Where you go, I will follow)
Through all the noise and lack of silence
It's never been harder to hear
When I'm fast asleep I run away
Please take me far from this place
If home is where my heart will stay
Why do you lead me away?
Where you lead, I will go
Where you go, I will follow
